# 211 Scott Neeson's Excellent New York Adventure

Scott Neeson, recently returned to Cambodia from his excellent New York Adventure.

Scott Neeson & Heather Graham (CCF board member) in New York for gala fundraising event

Scott’s amazing troupe of Performing Cambodian children (“See them laugh, see them cry, hear their inspirational stories of being rescued from their families by Saint Scott”) opened many a wallet in the Big Apple last week.

Now its back to normal for Scott, working on his biography, wining and dining donors and sponsors in his restaurant, Black Bamboo, whilst the Performing Cambodian Children return to their dormitories.

Scott couldn’t resist the opportunity to remind his Facebook followers how wonderful he is and what a tremendous sacrifice he made when he gave up his Hollywood mogul lifestyle to move to Cambodia.

The Cambodian Children’s Fund is still not registered in New York (as it should be, by law) but when you have lots of money (and CCF has more than lots) such problems can be easily overcome.

Charity fraud is rife in the US, where it is incredibly easy for anyone to start up a charity.

There are 1.1 million charities in the United States

The charitable sector employs approximately 13 million people.

Charities take in over $1.5 trillion each year in revenues I have assets approaching 3 trillion.

The US Government also provides an enormous amount of indirect support by exempting charities from income and property taxes and providing deductions for charitable donations.

Market incentives of the nonprofit world push charities like the Cambodian Children's Fund towards happy anecdote and inspiring narrative (Performing Cambodian Children) rather than toward careful planning, research, and evidence-based investments.

So it is that NGOs like Neeson's Cambodian Children's Fund rely on public relations, press releases, happy photos of smiling kids etc to sell the feel-good stories that keep the donor dollars flowing in.

There is no-one (literally no-one) to ask Neeson for any evidence at all of the effectiveness of his programs. All he needs to do is tell sponsors and donors that CCF is a success story and they lap it up and open their wallets.

Steve Tisch

Sponsors and donors should not be so lazy. They should ask questions. They do not want to, by and large. They get a warm fuzzy feeling from saving kids from poverty and maybe know that this warm fuzzy feeling would not be available to them if they looked too closely at what actually goes on (the removal of children from their families)  as opposed to what they would like to think goes on.

John and Cammie Rice

For the high end players in this game – multi-millionaires like Steve Tisch and John and Cammie Rice - the advantages are many. They get a huge tax break as a result of giving money to CCF. They also get the warm fuzzy feeling that accompanies doing 'good' in a third world country – rescuing children who, Scott tells them, have no family that can look after them as well as he can. And, of course, Steve, John and Cammie (and other wealthy New Yorkers)  get to meet and hang out with celebrities like Heather Graham and Salman Rushdie. "As I was saying to Salman a few weeks ago..."

Bob Tufts, CCF board member

That human rights groups in Cambodia, along with the media, turn a blind eye to all this makes them complicit in the human and legal rights abuses that occur as a result. When the history of this era of unrestrained NGO exploitation of impoverished Cambodian families is written, human rights organizations, along with the media, will quite rightly, come in for their fair share of the blame for the mass theft of children from their families.

  1. You are a very sick man James and you need to get medical help sooner rather than later.
To become so preoccupied with your personal vendetta against Scott Neeson is not, by any yardstick, normal behaviour.
Please, for your own sake, get some professional help.

    1. Thank you, Anonymous 8.55, for your concern regarding my mental health. It is a pity that you show zero concern with the many questions asked this past few months (and the last two years) of Scott Neeson and the CCF board? For instance, "How do you account for the $3 million spent by CCF on salaries in one financial year?"

      Where is the money?

As for the 'personal' part of your comment I will say it again, because you clearly have a very short attention span and memory.

My exposing of Scott Neeson as a liar and con man began with his refusal to return two children to their parents when they asked him to do so. This is kidnapping pure and simple. This is not just my opinion. It is Cambodian law.

Neeson justified his refusal to return the young girls on the basis of a 'contract' he claimed the parents had entered into with CCF. He refused to produce the 'contract' and the parents claimed that there was no 'contract'.

Here is the relevant Cambodian law - breached with regularity not just by CCF but by many other NGOs such as Citipointe Church's SHE Rescue Home:

Law on Suppression of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation

      Article 8:Definition of Unlawful Removal

The act of unlawful removal removal in this act shall mean to:

      1) Remove a person from his/her current place of residence to a place under the actor’s or a third persons control by means of force, threat, deception, abuse of power, or enticement, or

      2) Without legal authority or any other legal justification to do so to take a minor person under general custody or curatoship or legal custody away from the legal custody of the parents, care taker or guardian.

Article 9: Unlawful removal, inter alia, of Minor

A person who unlawfully removes a minor or a person under general custody or curatorship or legal custody shall be punished with imprisonment for 2 to 5 years.

In the moral world you inhabit, Anonymous 8.55, anyone (journalist or otherwise) who persists in his or her attempt to expose fraud and kidnapping can only have one motive - a personal one.

      What foolishness!

    2. @ Anon 8.55 A question for you. All those journalists who keep writing stories about how corrupt the Cambodian government are they just carrying out a personal vendetta too? Do they need ‘professional help’. You are a fucking idiot.

    3. James why do you bother to even talk with this guy? He’s not going to answer any questions. It’s probably James Wright just trying to stir you up.

  2. You might want to write to the New York Dept of Taxation and ask them if donations made to a 501c3, operating illegally in NYS (unregistered), are deductible on NYS taxes?

    1. I have already pointed this out. I don't think they care. If you read about US charities you become aware that there are literally thousands of scams and virtually no-one prepared to stop them. A book to read about all this is WITH CHARITY FOR ALL by Ken Stern. On pages 106 and 107 you will find the following:

"Crooks gravitate to crises...the charitable world is pocked with fraud and self-enrichment...it is astonishingly easy to set up, operate, and maintain charities that principally benefit their fund-raisers and managers."

Stern goes on to give the example of a charity entitled "The US Navy Veterans Association" (USNVA):

"The $100 million...raised from small donors by a Michegan-based telemarketing firm with the conveniently generic name of Associated Community Services (ACS). Most of the money stayed with the ACS, which charged USNVA sixty cents of every dollar raised, a figure that soars to eighty cents per dollar once overhead and administrative fees are piled on. Less than 1 percent, perhaps much less than 1 percent, ever went to actual veterans in need."

      Let me repeat that:

LESS THAN 1% EVER WENT TO ACTUAL VETERANS IN NEED.

Ken Stern's book is filled with examples like this one. If he updates the book in the future he will be able to use Scott Neeson's CCF as an example of this kind of scam and, perhaps, find out how much tax wealthy people like Steven Tisch and John and Cammie Rice were able to write off by supporting CCF's various scams.

  3. Here is another example:

    Page 109

“WEven in the rare event when a state regulatory authority responds to an instance of abuse, its hands are often tied, as was the case when California pursued charges against the Association of Firefighters and Paramedics (AFP). The AFP claims to support burn victims and burn centres across the country, directing “much needed funds to help the survivors of catastrophic fires.” Not many funds, however. In its most recent filings, the AFP acknowledged that of the $2.6 million it raised, $2.3 million went to fund-raising expenses, $230,000 went to administrative expenses (with roughly half of that going in salary to its CEO), and a miserly $82,000, or about 3%, went to the actual programme expenditures.”

How many examples of such scams does there need to be, how many instances of scams perpetrated by CCF before someone (media, human rights organsiations) ask some obvious questions – like:

“How, Scott Neeson, do you account for roughly $3 million in salaries in the last financial year?”

    Closely followed by:

“If you are not prepared to answer this question how can you, with a straight face, insist that CCF gets a 100% rating for transparency and accountability?”

  4. Enforcing regulations for charitable organizations, is not the same as the tax department turning their heads to illegal taxpayer deductions.

  5. Hey, I've sent you an email regarding how you can get your investigative work in front of more eyeballs!

    1. This is the email I received:

      Hello,

I'm a user at the forum Reddit on a subreddit investigating - likely - an international pedophilia ring that is connected to the Clintons and possibly the entire US Federal government. I noticed you were investigating the Cambodian Children's Fund (which received the highest rating from Charity Navigator, an organization I suspect to be yet another front for child sex trafficking)

The investigation is called "pizzagate" because it's recently been discovered that "pizza" is a term used in the pedophilia community and some Clinton - affiliated pizza shops in DC had social media accounts filled with references to pedophilia. Since then, the investigation has blown wide open and connections are being made that paint a very sinister picture about most "child empowerment" organizations and charities, especially those that claim to end child sex trafficking.

Would you mind visiting reddit.com/r/pizzagate to share your knowledge about what you've discovered with regards to CCF? You will find many supportive voices and believers.

      Sincerely"

    2. Yep, that's the one I sent!

    3. "Pizzagate" blew up initially a little over a week ago when Wikileaks released the Podesta emails. John Podesta is the chairman of the Clinton campaign.

Immediately strange emails referencing "pizza" and "pasta" were discovered that used those terms bizarrely. John and Tony Podesta (as well as Anthony Wiener) were implicated in the disappearance of a little girl vacationing with her family in Portugal named "Madeleine Mc Cann" (because the suspect sketches appeared exactly to resemble the Podesta brothers) and they were also vacationing in Portugal at the time, as well as a large gap of time in email correspondence months before and after her disappearance.

Upon further investigation into the pizza angle, people discovered a pizza place in DC called "Comet Ping Pong" where the owner, James Alefantis, had a disturbing instagram account with subtle references to pedophilia (all of this is archived btw). James Alefantis also happens to be the partner or ex-partner of David Brock, chairman of Correct the Record (Hilary Clinton's SuperPAC).

Clearly adult themed events were hosted at CPP in which the advertisements mentioned it being "all ages". One advertisement displayed artwork clearly depicting a child being raped and disassociating from the act (their "soul" ascends from their body). Ria Pratt/Kim Noble is the artist, and most of her artwork is disturbing and depicts ritualistic child abuse. She is also suffers from DID (according to her website) and likely experienced this abuse herself.
Two establishments next door to CPP, Terrasol and Besta Pizza. Terrasol was using a known "girl lover" symbol on their website (but now removed) and Besta Pizza was using a "boy lover" symbol in their logo which is also now removed. Everyone has screenshots and archives of everything being claimed so you can certainly see for yourself. Also it's important to note that Besta Pizza is owned by Uptown Pizza LLC., which is owned by Andrew Kline, who is one of four Clinton appointees to the Department of Justice Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit, Civil Rights Division.

Across the street from Comet Ping Pong, there is a Haitian children's organization called "Beyond Borders" which people are also investigating. It is a registered member of the Combined Federal Campaign (Hilary Clinton is the chairwoman) and it also has a 100/100 score from Charity Navigator.

I'm just trying to reach out to as many people as possible who have been investigating charity fraud, especially children's charities. Recently (a couple days ago) a woman named Monica Peterson "committed suicide" in Haiti while she was investigating possible sex trafficking (and other forms of exploitation) linked to the Clinton's Haitian charities. This is a major focus for pizzagate because there's a specific case where a woman caught smuggling children across the Haitian border (Laura Silsby) was let go by authorities, likely due to involvement by the Clintons. This woman is now working for Amber Alert.

People are trying to keep the speculation low but it's very hard to attribute this to anything more than a global pedophilia ring. People are also investigating prior instances of ritualistic child abuse (in schools, orphanages, religious institutions, etc.) and trying to see if it's related to pizzagate.

    4. None of this comes as a surprise. When Thierry Darnaudet was running APLE he was just the front man for the French mafia. Maybe its a legit org now but who knows

  7. Once you've taken in the unique décor at this place, the hardest part is to decide whether to go upstairs or downstairs. With a large open floor plan, you'll find bars on both venues, and someone will always come by to serve you matter where you decide to hang out.

  8. Ricketson, Thatcher and you other losers who have accomplished nothing. Choke and die. Such pathetic hateful little half-men.

  9. Yea Ricketson, you've never destroyed the lives of hundreds of children by taking them from their families, you've never stolen hundreds of houses from the impoverished, you've never pimped children or illegally raised millions of dollars from unsuspecting donors. You've never locked out an impoverished family from their home because their $12.50 rent was late. You should be more like the lying thief, Scott Neeson!

  10. Dear Scott Neeson

You have considerable skill at marketing, even if the product you are marketing leaves a little to be desired.

You are less skilled in hiring clever, intelligent trolls to make comments on your behalf in their attempts to shoot the messenger. (Anonymous 8.52)

Take this one, for instance. It has all the hallmarks of a James Wright comment of the kind I am all too familiar with. What do you think that readers make of it when they read it?

The first thing that would spring to the mind of any reader of modicum intelligence is that it is a very crude (not at all clever) attempt at shooting the messenger. (You can’t find someone with more imagination than James Wright!)

The second thing that would spring to mind of readers is that this comment, like all such comments, fails entirely to engage with the topic in hand. And the topic in hand, as it has been this last 5 or so posts, has been the way in which CCF spends money. Where does the money go? How do you, Scott, and the CCF board, account (for instance) for the $3 million in wages that are not accounted for in CCF’s last tax return? How does CCF justify spending as much in one year to employ one member of CCF staff as it would cost to support an entire Cambodian family for one year?

A third observation that some readers might make is that there is no-one asking questions such as these (at least not in public) other than myself. One does not need to be a conspiracy theorist to figure out that something very odd is going on here – namely that the Cambodian media, en masse, is simply not interested in asking you any questions at all that relate to CCF’s accountability and/or transparency. In the case of the Phnom Penh Post this is understandable – its journalists muzzled by yourself . In the case of the Cambodia Daily the answer is less clear.

One day, some journalist will ask the questions I have been asking. S/he will not take kindly to being dismissed as a failed journalist, a jealous journalist or whatever form of abuse you (and your surrogates like James Wright) choose to hurl at her. Indeed, any attempt to do so, any attempt to intimidate with threats of law suits, will become part of the story that will, ultimately, be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

As I have made clear before, it took me 6 years to force Citipointe to return to their family the two girls the church had kidnapped (with the blessing of Naly Pilorge at LICADHO and Helen Sworn at CHAB DAI). Exposing corruption in Cambodia, and getting results, is a long process. I will start to feel a little discouraged if, in three years time, you are still getting way with your scams.
